  1. CD Project Red is dissing SKYRIM

Joking? Please? Im kinda disappointing by CDProjekt here. I have no respect for EA taking huge swipes at other games, so I dont see why these guys should get a free ride. No class or style. I am disappoint.
  2. Call of Cthulhu RPG

Its awesome, but expect to die A lot.
  3. Skyrim in-game footage

If they can fix the level scaling, I'm in.
  4. Bros, New Vegas is painful

Agreed. I actually thought Fallouts combat was lousy, but liked the game in spite of it. New Vegas is similar in that respect.
  5. Game News Age of Decadence July Update

Yes, I think you've hit on it. If a game is good enough, there should be no need for playtesting of any sort. Like VD, I have no confidence in the core gameplay either, and I'm sure I'll have that confirmed when they release the next demo.
  6. Can't decide which is better: Fallout 1 or Fallout 2.

That's not true at all. Because this is the paradox that is RPGcodex, everything must be worse. Nothing can be better.
  7. Can't decide which is better: Fallout 1 or Fallout 2.

Fallout 1 was small but perfectly formed. Edit: Though I gotta say that I liked New Vegas at least as much, though for different reasons.
  8. I don't like Planescape: Torment that much.

I found arcanums combat to be bloody awful. In fairness this is compensated in other ways, but if good combat is a focus, I'd avoid it.
  9. What old-old RPG would benefit greatly from a remake?

Its 1993, but a Hired Guns remake with some first person co-operative play (up to 4 players!) could be great. Also, not strictly an RPG, but I'd love to see Midwinter 1 or 2 remade.
  10. Skyrim has full-sentence dialogue options.

Yeah, I do like me a hiking sim. It looks pretty nice, and if they can fix the levelling, and make levelling up work in a sensible way I'll be happy (Ditching major skills and attribute multipliers is a good move imo). I hold no hope at all for the dialogue, plot and characters. Bethesda...
  11. DX:HR leak impressions

I have to say I wasnt holding out much hope for DX3, but the relatively positive vibe here has actually made me much more enthusiastic about the prospect of playing this in July, or whenever. Which is a first.
  12. L.A. Noire

Yeah, essentially homicide sucked. I liked the Chinatown feel of arson, and I'm hoping that the ending sets up a detective agency spin off. I actually wished that they'd made the world smaller with more freedom to find your own locations and clues, and with one single case, but I suppose that...
  13. The Escapist magazine gives 3,5/5 for The Witcher 2

I'm genuinely looking forward to playing this game, but the amount of gamers taking personal offence at any negative comments or reviews is bloody hilarious. Essentially if you dont like the Witcher, or the Witcher 2, you are traitor to PC gaming! How did that happen?
  14. L.A. Noire

It totally is. I'd probably give it an 8 out of 10 so far. Its a pretty interesting game, and while I have issues with some of the repetitive gameplay mechanics and specifically the nature of the homicide missions (can explain more but would be spoilers), overall its a good experience.
  15. Prestigious site Destructoid confers a 6/10 on Witcher 2

Cool, I'll borrow it after my mate has finished with it then. I actually liked TW1, whereas he couldnt get into it.
