  1. Role-Player is kinda dead!

RP, all the best in your studies.
  2. How's Summoner?

it is pretty decent. the plot twist in the middle is good too. towards the end it got a little unbalanced. i remember i refused to summon since a summoned killed in battle would cost me 1 ability point or something. In the end Ii could defeat the enemies without summoning, it kinda defeat the...
  3. I wish to *know* more: 20 questions on AoD

Yes, and when Fez leaves, you may come back.
  4. Our indie interview

Internet Drama! Seriously, people who frequent this site knows who VD is. If you leave out the interview section on AoD, it makes the indie interview less complete as a result. (now if you put it back, be prepared for 'flip-flop' jokes)
  5. Intro beats: NPC disposition

    Amiability?
  6. Arcanum characters.

you probably approached this part too early. you do need to take on some other quests in other cities before attempting this again. My mage had a difficult time initially, until i went away, did other quests, gained 1 level, and come back and had a much easier time. you may want to...
  7. My Dark Messiah review

suibhne, that is a very well written review. much better than some of the professional site reviews. you may well consider getting it posted in this site, as DarkUnderlord suggested.
  8. Bethesda, ESF, and your roots...

I can't recall where i came to know of this site, but it was about the year 2001 or 2002. I lurked for years before deciding to create an account to chat abit. for those who seem to think there are intelligent discussions here: there is a fair share of stupid people and dumb comments too...
  9. AoD: What do you think of TEH GRAFIKS?

this is possibly the best constructive comment in this thread. i don't think Immortality just changed everything to darker. If you look closely, there are sources of lighting and shadow. take a close look at the shadow cast by the roof. it really brings out the whole 3D feel compared to the...
  10. Children?

We finally figured out which part of anatomy that AoD folks "decadence" off.
  11. Oblivion too complex for casual gamer acording to gamersinfo

Re: Oblivion too complex for casual gamer acording to gamers actually, i think he has a point. What most of us want from an rpg, is not necessarily tangential to what he said. we want a reactive, action with consequences environment with lots of possible interactivition to the...
  12. SCRIPTING Different Consequences to the Same Choice.

Re: Emergent Quests so all game decisions are based on strict skill/ability check and there is no die roll involved? or I am reading too much into your sentence here? I imagined your game to be similar to how DnD works. abilities and attributes are modifiers to your roll. Let me know if i...
  13. AoD survey!

a simple but difficult to pull off trick is, to have simple mechanics yet allowing deep strategies within the game. i do not want to spend hours trying to figure out the UI and get used to the numerous buttons. i however look forward to deep gameplay coming out from simple mechanics. chess is...
  14. Preview IGN previews Stronghold 3: NWN2

I disagree. there are just so few quest varieties before Obsidian exhaust themselves and start recycling simple fed-ex quests again. Having to manage a castle (with side quests to recruit NPCs, managing recruits, and all) is a nice way of extending quest varieties in the game.
  15. Game News Circle of Eight ToEE fixpack version 5 out

anyone tried this patch? is it any good? would like to know if it is worth my time reinstalling TOEE.
