Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (Yakuza, Judgment, Binary Domain + more!) Discussion Thread

To be honest I never intentionally go my way to collect and experience stuff in a methodical manner in these games. I go from main plot point to main plot point, after each main plot destination do 1-2 side quests and all the extra stuff (minigames, wandering around) just happens naturally as I...

Atlus Shin Megami Tensei V - It's been hurting my OCD.

Eh, it's a common thing with their re-releases to add more possibilities to pimp out your abilities without balancing the mobs around it. I suspect they do it partially also because they purposefully want your second time around to be a lot easier so you can experience new story additions quicker.

Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks shut down by Microsoft

That's just errors in the credits. There are different people named Kenji Kimura. Ghostwire director is not the same as Bandai Namco dude.

Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks shut down by Microsoft

Mikami was real hands on only with EW1. My hypothesis: Zenimax maybe not been doing well enough on hitting corporate metrics to justify the acquisition price. Wouldn't even be surprised if also because Starfield was a disappointment. Tango was unfortunately part of this corporate group, so...

    Nioh: Feudal Era Dark Souls

There are definitely remixed combat encounters on NG+ even in N1.

    Europa Universalis V

Latter seems reasonable, there's no need for the level of pop breakdown as in Vicky 2 in EU period.

    Nioh 2

Whut, in this game mastering one weapon per playthrough is more interesting than creating 10 "builds" in Souls games.

    Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

All console game sales are down in Japan, has nothing to do with FF specifically. People always bring up these Japanese weekly sales declines in order to prove a point about overall global sales of a game franchise, but it's absolutely worthless without more context and comparison. Another...

Why aren't you taking advantage of those attacks where enemy's Ki is depleted?

    Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

DLC is usual Capcom crap that is not needed at all, problem is that this time they made some design decisions that go against the bog standard expectations (no ez pez fast travel) so your average normie thinks he is being ripped off.

    Dragon's Dogma II - "They’re masterworks, all – you can’t go wrong"

As far as I know, adaptive difficulty in RE games only is applied as such when you play on anything but the hardest. If you play on hardest, it won't drop you down if you do poorly.

Atlus Persona 3 Reload (ex portable thread)

Broken social links were good. More possibilities for fuck-ups in games, less design choices catered towards OCD 100% autist FOMOists please.
