  1. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

If FFXVI was as much of an RPG as the Souls games, no one would be complaining about it. Problem is that it wasn't. I think you are too optimistic if you expect Veilguard to be as much an RPG as Souls.
  2. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

Can't confirm anything before more gameplay is shown. That said based on the direction these studios have been going I suspect it'll be a game with less RPG elements than GOW:R.
  3. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

TBH, I wondered why the fuck EA would allow BioWare to downgrade their game names easily. Now it seems to me that EA could have been the ones who asked for a name change cause Dreadwolf is way too serious sounding for the type of game they want to sell.
  4. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

I strongly suspect that back when DA4 was supposed to be a live service game they tried to make a medieval Overwatch, but then they kept the look even as they transitioned to single player only.
  5. Cain on Games - Tim Cain's new YouTube channel

It didn't do well enough for EA to keep wanting to make more DA games...... remember that EA tried to force a live service game on DA4 and only relented because Fallen Order sold more than 10 million copies. That's the kind of numbers that video game companies look for nowadays.
  6. Cain on Games - Tim Cain's new YouTube channel

Larian never made games with the aim of "appealing to a larger demographic", they made games they wanted to make and then believe the audience would support them. Successful studios like CDPR and Fromsoft did the same thing. Like you said DOS2 is already far more successful than anything...
  7. Eternity Avowed - Obsidian's first person action-RPG in the Pillars of Eternity setting - coming Fall 2024

The Outer Worlds at least has vets like Cain. You should be scared of the games that will be coming out of Obsidian without them around. They have a high chance of making The Outer Worlds look like Skyrim in comparison.
  8. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

They changed the name cause they were afraid of the DAD jokes being spread.
  9. Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition - A Dance of Masks epilogue DLC coming June 13th

DAO sold 3.2 million copies which would have been impressive if not for how the game has been in development for 7 years. It's not a success which would have made the industry turn its head. Unlike BG3.
  10. Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition - A Dance of Masks epilogue DLC coming June 13th

POE 2 had full VO because DOS2 had it and Feargus was afraid it would make POE 2 look bad if they didn't have it, and he had to force Sawyer to include it. The expectation for a long time is that isometric CRPGs are AA games without the potential to become AAA. Larian smashed that illusion and...
  11. KickStarter The Wayward Realms - upcoming Daggerfall-like RPG from original Elder Scrolls developers - Kickstarter Live

This is just nostalgia talk and a denial of just how bad Daggerfall's procgen content can be. Daggerfall can only dream of having content as "dull" as Morrowind. Also smaller dungeons of Morrowind is an improvement from the Daggerfall dungeons which are WAYYYYYYYYY too big for its own good. I...
  12. KickStarter The Wayward Realms - upcoming Daggerfall-like RPG from original Elder Scrolls developers - Kickstarter Live

The move from Daggerfall to Morrowind already proven that procgen cannot compete with hand crafted for serious RPGs...... why the fuck you keep having people who want to return to the Daggerfall days, I will never understand.
  13. Dragon Age Dragon Age: The Veilguard - coming Fall 2024

Reality is that how Bioware handled DA post DAO was a mistake but their heart was in the right place that DAO's "basis" wasn't something they could use for future DA games. Cause RTWP was a dead end design wise and Bioware had to evolve past it sooner or latter. Too bad they didn't make a turn...
  14. Xbox Allegedly Wants to Speed Up Fallout 5 Launch

The Outer Worlds had Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky around....... without them and Josh Sawyer we are going to see the REAL post Pillars Obsidian. Somehow I do not have as much faith in them as you. Also it's hard to blame the publisher when Obsidian has a track record of pissing off every...
  15. Eternity Avowed - Obsidian's first person action-RPG in the Pillars of Eternity setting - coming Fall 2024

The graphical level of Fallout 4 is beyond anything Inxile or Obsidian has ever created..... compare Fallout 4 to the graphics we see on Clockwork revolution. And like I said the silence on the game makes me question what state it currently is in and if it will actually end up being good.
