What is exactly hindering them from testing this and other money-grubbing corporate stuff? Like taking money for bullets, etc. It's not that EA can sink any lower, and they are used to controversies. Just curious about what is actually holding them back from monetizing every aspect of the games already.

Didn't their lootbox shenanigans lead to a few countries passing new laws that crack down on lootboxes? They could be afraid for a repeat of that.

That's true. Think they were made illegal in the Uk or some such. Not sure though.
