A laptop working after 20 years would be quite an accomplishment. Well, I still have 2 functioning PC XTs in my basement (I played Populous multiplayer via RS cable on them :)), but the laptop I played Daggerfall on is now my father's and he keeps it running all day writing stuff in TeX and programming some shit for Linux, so I didn't even try to persuade him to let me try some older games.

The trouble with you guys is a lack of foresight.

Not really. I have a Legacy system that I have put together for older games. But I love Daggerfall enough that having it on my main system is a must. So, getting it working under XP was essential to my needs. :P
